On September 10, the China Federation of enterprises and the China Entrepreneurs Association released the 2017 top 500 Chinese manufacturing enterprises. At the same time, the 2017 China top 500 Enterprise Summit Forum was held here.
According to statistics, the manufacturing enterprises listed in this year's top 500 achieved a total net profit of 972.887 billion yuan, a significant increase of 29.57% compared with the previous year, reversing the negative growth trend of net profit for two consecutive years since 2015. In addition, among the 2017 top 500 Chinese enterprises released in the same period, 245 manufacturing enterprises were shortlisted, accounting for 49%. 245 enterprises achieved net profits accounting for 19.42% of the top 500, an increase of nearly 2.34 percentage points over the previous year, changing the continuous decline in the proportion of net profits in the past five years.
"There are two reasons for the better performance of the manufacturing industry: the speed of enterprise investment expansion has slowed down, and there are a little more retained profits; the internal management of the enterprise has been improved, and it has been stricter in reducing costs, so as to support the profit growth." Yang Du, a professor at the Business School of Renmin University of China, said that mergers and acquisitions are also an important driving force for the growth of the scale and net profit of manufacturing enterprises.
During the meeting, many entrepreneurs said that the achievements of manufacturing enterprises benefited from policies and measures such as capacity reduction, quality and efficiency improvement, transformation and upgrading, on the one hand, and the implementation of strategies such as intelligent manufacturing and industrial foundation in the industrial field has become the consensus of large enterprises.
Zhu sendi, consultant of China Machinery Industry Federation, said that one direction of the 12th Five Year Plan is manufacturing equipment, one of which is intelligent manufacturing equipment. In recent years, national ministries and commissions have issued many opinions on intelligent manufacturing. "The reason why we have achieved good results in Intelligent Manufacturing in recent years is that we have a better strategy on the whole," he said The general plan referred to by Zhu sendi includes: top-level design, current standards, market migration, key breakthroughs, pilot demonstration, emphasis on foundation, personnel training and open cooperation.
Qu Xianming, director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Development Strategy Research Office of the Chinese Academy of engineering, said that the reason why intelligent manufacturing is widely concerned is not only the relief of the national promotion, but also the need for enterprises to actively transform and upgrade.
Qu Xianming said that intelligent manufacturing was first designed from the policy level. Through the development of these two years, it has been the demand of enterprises themselves, especially textile light industry enterprises, which are facing many problems and needs such as competition, cost and efficiency, and need to use intelligent manufacturing to upgrade production capacity.
However, it is worth noting that the profits of the manufacturing industry mainly come from a few strong profit-making enterprises, and most manufacturing enterprises are still struggling to survive. According to the data, there are 24 manufacturing enterprises with a net profit of more than 10 billion yuan, accounting for 49.84% of the net profit of the listed enterprises in the manufacturing industry.
Indeed, a good industrial ecology requires not only a group of large enterprises with competitive advantages in the world and a large number of dynamic, highly specialized and cooperative small and medium-sized enterprises, but also a system of division of labor and cooperation among large and medium-sized enterprises.
Zhang Feng, chief engineer of the Ministry of industry and information technology, said that at present, the phenomenon of large and complete enterprises and small and complete enterprises in China is serious, and the level of professional cooperation among large, medium and small enterprises still lacks the combat ability of joint fleet. It is hoped that large enterprises can establish a good concept of industrial ecology, focus on leading products and core businesses, become better and stronger, establish a long-term and stable cooperative relationship with small and medium-sized enterprises, and build an industrial ecosystem of mutual benefit and symbiosis.
Ecosystem construction is also a relatively new topic in recent years. However, it is clear that industrial strength and the construction of new supply chains should be key parts. Made in China 2025 puts forward requirements for strong industrial foundation projects to achieve the promotion and application of 40% of the advanced manufacturing processes of basic parts, components and key basic materials, and 80 kinds of landmark processes.
Chen Yutao, executive vice president of the National Alliance for the transformation of industrial and information technology achievements, said that there is no doubt about the importance of industrial foundation strengthening project, which restricts the improvement of existing industrial capacity. She said that according to the catalogue of industrial "four basic" development (2016), as of 2016, the Institute of engineering had supported 276 projects, driving an investment of 22.3 billion yuan. "In the past two years, China has also improved the construction of some basic parts. We look forward to achieving 40% in several years and 60% in 2020."
Wang Wei, director of the market economy Research Institute of the development research center of the State Council, said that from the perspective of enterprises, if each enterprise can specialize, improve its core competitive advantage, and cooperate with other enterprises at the same time, it can effectively integrate resources and improve the performance of each enterprise. From a macro perspective, such a supply chain model actually promotes the sharing of resources in the whole society and forms mutual cooperation among enterprises to form an economic system. Therefore, it can be said that the development of supply chain is the direction of joint efforts of manufacturing industry and service industry in the future.
